Dancing with Gravity: Improvisational movement workshops with Jesse Johnson
In this six session series, we will open up our creativity and expression by exploring the sacred energy of play through movement and dance.

Each week we will explore a different theme using contact improvisation, moving meditations, movement games and scores to cultivate our skills as movers and improvisers.  Participants will:
  • dance and move with more freedom, comfort, flexibility, ease and expressiveness in all contexts including “jamming” with a group
  • develop concrete skills in improvising while dancing with a partner (of many forms) including contact improvisation
  • deepen listening skills
  • have fun while releasing inhibitions
  • collaborate
  • cultivate and nurture a dance practice that you can take with you anywhere
If you want to tap into your creative energy, make (more) art, have fun with others, study contact improvisation, be more flexible and free in your improvisation and movement, this course is for you!
